Engagement is the key to our success. Grass roots, bottom up collaboration is essential to grow GSAR in a way that works for all 78 community SAR teams.
Remember your different communications options:
BCSSN uses the Google Groups function within Google Suite to create a private discussion group for each different forum (i.e. GSAR-Advisory-Discussion).
You can view all the conversations or change your group settings (requires Gmail address): https://groups.google.com/
Please reach us at hello@bcssn.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Encourage good candidates to apply by sending a message to the forum chair or to hello@bcssn.com
The power resides with the teams and the volunteers, not BCSSN. The point is mostly connection, mutual understanding, awareness and collaboration.
If a forum decides they want to take a stand or publish a formal opinion, likely it would need to present a majority opinion along with a dissenting opinion and some accounting of the teams, people and power representing each side.
This functionality works best if you use a Gmail address as the email address you provide to the forum chair when you join the group.
For non-Gmail users, you can still participate by email with the group, but may not be able to view all the conversations at once or adjust settings as easily as those with a Gmail account.
Check your spam folder for an email from Google Groups with the subject line "You have been added to," move that message out of your spam folder.
Add the group email address (i.e. GSAR-Advisory-Discussion@BCSSN.com) to your address book to prevent messages from going into your spam folder.
You can choose how messages are delivered:
